The Studio One is one of the most sought after Broughton pedals. Known for it's Neve 1073 transistor gain stage, the Studio One creates a warm, clear tone that is immediately noticeable when engaged.

The Studio Boost is the same transistor gain stage in the Studio One, capturing the same high fidelity tone in a smaller format. The Studio Boost includes the gain control, which varies from -∞ (off) to +15 dB when using a 9V supply. Higher voltages will provide slightly higher gain and more clean headroom. The transistor gain stage drives a transformer output, and the passive Level control steps down the signal, if needed.

Recommended starting point: Gain at 3 o'clock, Level at max.

The input impedance is 1MΩ.

The pedal requires a DC power supply (not included). The DC supply should be a standard Boss style connector, center negative polarity. It can accept 9 to 24 volts. Although 9 volts is sufficient for most applications, higher voltages will provide more headroom when using the pedal with hotter signals. The current draw is approximately 10 mA.

The Studio Boost has a true bypass switch.
