The Quicksilver uses high voltage transistors and a vintage 12AT7 tube to amplify and shape your tone, giving a classic tube amp feel in a small pedal. This unique, original design utilizes the high voltage transistors on the input of the pedal to significantly boost your signal while providing huge headroom, and then drives the signal into the 12AT7 tube. The gain knob can be set to give clean and clear tones, or increased for more breakup.

The 12AT7 is configured similar to the Broughton Archetype family of pedals and preamps. One triode directly feeds a heavily amplified signal into the other triode, which is biased to give asymmetrical compression and harmonics, greatly amplifying the effect while only needing one tube. Although this can provide overdrive, it shines best as on the edge of breakup.

The bass and treble controls are shelving, and are flat when at noon. The volume knob controls the output level of the pedal. The Quicksilver can drive other pedals, preamps, or amps.

The pedal requires a 12V DC power supply (not included). The DC supply should be a standard Boss style connector, center negative polarity. The current draw is 300 mA. A 9V DC supply may be used, but the headroom and volume will decrease.

The Quicksilver uses a soft touch stomp switch to actuate a relay, providing true bypass operation.

Dimensions: 4.77" long x 3.6" wide

The user can define whether the pedal defaults to bypassed or unbypassed upon power-up. Unplug the power from the pedal, hold down the footswitch, and then apply power. This toggles the default power-up state.
