The Lowtec is a pared down version of the Mastering EQ, capturing the passive bass and treble EQ of the famous Pultec passive equalizer in a smaller format.
 
The input of the Lowtec uses a low noise dual op amp to drive the passive circuitry, and to faithfully retain your signal with minimal noise and distortion. The make up gain section at the output uses the second half of the op amp to provide unity gain when all EQ is set to neutral.
 
The Lowtec can boost and cut the selected bass frequency up to 16 dB. The treble cut section is a shelving cut at the selected frequency.

The Lowtec requires a DC power supply (not included). The DC supply should be a standard Boss style connector, center negative polarity. It can accept 9 to 24 volts. Although 9 volts is sufficient for most applications, higher voltages will provide more headroom when using the pedal with hotter signals. If you intend to use this pedal with line level signals, you should use at least 12 volts for sufficient headroom. The current draw is approximately 10 mA. A 24 volt power supply may be purchased separately.
 
The Lowtec has a true bypass switch.
