Dynamo is a fast acting envelope filter capable of funky tones for bass and guitar. The state variable low pass filter uses optical elements that quickly and cleanly respond to your playing for musical sweeps that are easy to dial in. Compared to the JoshWah, the Dynamo is clean, quacky, and can sweep up or down, while the JoshWah is more synthy and gritty. Both have demos linked on their product page. The Dynamo has a striking metallic sparkle finish.

The sense knob controls the amount of signal sent to the envelope detector. Stronger signals will sweep the filter range higher, so dialing in the right amount is key to getting the sweep that matches your playing style.

The attack knob controls how fast the sweep happens and determines the overall feel of the effect. A slow attack can feel dramatic, while faster attacks can feel more funky and quacky.

The peak knob controls the resonance of sweep. Higher peak accentuates the filter effect and can get quite extreme at high settings. Low peak settings can give a warmer effect.

The range switch toggles between a low and high sweep range. Use this in conjunction with the sense knob to dial in the perfect sweep for bass or guitar.

The sweep switch controls the up or down direction of the sweep. Try different settings when toggling between the two directions; what sounds good in the up direction may not work as well in the down direction.

The pedal requires a 9 volt DC power supply (not included). The DC supply should be a standard Boss style connector, center negative polarity. The current draw is approximately 10 mA.

Dynamo has a true bypass switch.
