The Calypso is an homage to the classic Prunes and Custard pedal. The Calypso creates unique harmonic modulation that is sensitive to your input signal, creating pseudo ring mod and filter type effects. Capable of light overdrive to heavy harmonic saturation, the Calypso is a seemingly simple but unique sounding effect capable of making heavy, funky sounds.
 
The input signal is split into two paths. One is kept clean, and the other goes to the harmonic modulator. The Drive knob increases the input gain, increasing the clean signal level and the harmonics. The Mix knob blends the two signals together. The Volume knob is the master output volume.
 
The Lo cut switch filters out low end from the harmonic signal when set to the right. The Hi cut switch toggles between two settings of high frequency filtering applied to the signal affecting the harmonic modulator. Set the Hi cut switch to the right for a more muted effect.
 
The pedal requires a DC power supply (not included). The DC supply should be a standard Boss style connector, center negative polarity. The pedal can accept 9 to 24 volts . The current draw is approximately 5 mA.
 
Calypso has a true bypass switch.
