The Azure Drive is a bass overdrive inspired by the original Blueberry Bass Overdrive from the early 2000s. The Azure Drive produces clean, clear lows, biting mids and singing highs, and has been a favorite of bass players for a decade. Now the 10th Anniversary edition takes that same circuit and adds a clean parallel channel to mix in your original clean tone, retaining your lows and highs that many found lacking in the BBOD. The Sensitivity knob changes the range of the gain available, as well as the tonality of the drive. At a low setting, the drive is subtle and warm. At a high setting, the drive is bright and aggressive. The setting for the original BBOD sensitivity is around noon.
The tone knob is a boost/cut of the treble frequencies.
The clean and drive volume knobs independently control their respective volume levels. The signals are phase coherent.
The pedal requires a 9V DC power supply (not included). Do not exceed 9V or the pedal could be damaged. The DC supply should be a standard Boss style connector, center negative polarity.
The current draw of the pedal is 4 mA.
The Azure Drive has a true bypass switch.
